Our cleaning services include: cleaning of special cargo holds on vessels carrying materials such as soda ash; paint application using air and electric pumps when necessary; removal of sediment from all types of tanks and holds; and high-standard cleaning services to prevent time loss for vessels in anchorage areas.

A Controlled Approach to Tank and Hold Cleaning
Tank and hold cleaning is one of the tasks that is expected to be completed quickly on-site but requires the highest level of safety and process discipline.
This is because the risks involved extend beyond mere physical working conditions to include gas measurement, permitting processes, safe work procedures, waste/sediment management, and a clear definition of the handover standard. A cleaning job may appear “visually clean,” but if the handover standard and documentation are unclear, operational risks persist.
In DEGEM’s cleaning approach, we begin by clearly defining the work site and the type of tank/storage tank. Then an implementation plan is established: access preparation, permit/OSH procedures, cleaning method, control points, and handover closure. Depending on the project requirements, gas-free support and sediment/waste management can be included. Especially in time-critical sites, mobilization and equipment preparation are planned in advance to ensure the cleaning operation proceeds without disrupting operations.
